I'm slowly getting my independent groove back! Last week, I had an activity scheduled every day which made the week go by lots faster. I'm getting more and more comfortable taking Elijah out with me. Sadly, I look forward to activities that used to be annoying or mundane before just so that I can get out of the house and break the monotony. Simple things bring simple pleasures. I took Elijah to church all by myself this past Sunday. This may not sound exciting to you guys, but driving an hour and fifteen minutes one way, alone with a baby, is quite an accomplishment. Good thing Elijah loves to sleep in the car! This upcoming weekend is extra exciting because Taylor will have a 4 day weekend. I plan on having a pamper session at the nail salon on Friday, and then we plan on going to the Braves game Friday night to watch the post game fireworks.
Now, the great question is am I being suicidal by taking a baby to the Braves game? Taylor is pretty confident we won't have an issue, and I was at first too... but now I have my doubts. Will I be able to enjoy the game? Will Elijah not cause too much trouble? We wanted to go to the Friday game because it's a late evening game, and the heat won't kill us.
With that, what are your Fourth of July plans? Anybody have anything exciting scheduled? Anybody would like to join us for the Braves game?
Oh, our peach tree is having a great harvest this year! I've already made a peach cobbler and have given several to my mom and my sister. There are so many still on the tree. The only problem is that the fruit are itty bitty but very sweet tasting. Anybody wants some peaches? There is no way we can eat all of them!
